ALL THAT YOU TOUCH
ORIGINALLY BOUGHT AT A USED RECORD STORE IN HERMOSA BEACH
I noticed this sitting lonely amidst my Cooper LPs and couldn’t really remember it well… so I pulled it out to play while I did a little scratching for my immortality.
Bob Ezrin production and I think he’s incredible in many circumstances. PG (car), PF (Wall), KISS (Destroyer – the only Kiss LP I actually almost enjoy) and all of the Cooper records that matter. Ezrin’s regular cast of top notch players are here too, Hunter, Wagner, the guy who plays the crickety crickety thing… etc.
So I can’t do my writing while this thing is spinning. It’s bad. The hit single comes on and I remember how much I disliked it. And side two makes me want to break out something so noisy I’ll forget about the time I spent with cow pie spinning on my table.
Pull out any Alice Cooper (band) LP, even one of the first two, and listen to it… you’ll feel sad that this was made. It’s good that AC reinvented himself again as a metal-lite dude, if only because he wouldn’t make another album like this. (Disclaimer: I do like his ” new wave” LPs though… so there’s that.)
